John and Jill Bard opened the doors to Eat Pizza! in August 2006 shortly before they were married. 

Eat Pizza! has been long in the making in the mind of business and pizza minded John Bard, who has worked in the pizza and deli industry for the last twenty years. John has enjoyed a variety of positions in the industry, including pizza maker, assistant manager and manage for several smaller Oregon pizzerias, and then training director, director of franchise operations, and finally director of franchise development for a large franchise chain based out of New York. 

Fate stepped in the day he resigned from his “cushy corporate” pizza job.  After seeing an ad for a deli for sale in a pizza shape triangle building on Southwest Morrison, John and Jill purchased the former “Daily Double Espresso” business, with intentions of creating their dream pizza place.  Having never found satisfactory pizza in Oregon after a move from the East Coast, Jill was delighted to have the opportunity to finally be able to eat pizza the right way!
